About Us

Loom & Yarn was founded in 2025 by Lin Jeffery, following a growing love of handweaving that began with a series of weaving courses in 2024. What started as a curiosity soon became a quiet, deeply satisfying practice rooted in time, touch and traditional craft.

Working from her Lincolnshire-based studio, Lin weaves using her own hand-spun yarns, allowing each piece to develop slowly and naturally. She enjoys the unhurried process of blending fibres into soft rolags, spinning them into usable yarn, and then weaving them into one-of-a-kind scarves and table linens.

 

Loom & Yarn works across two four-shaft looms — a carefully refurbished tabletop loom and a larger floor-standing loom currently being restored — embracing small-batch making and time-honoured techniques. Subtle shifts in colour, texture and weave are welcomed, celebrated, and left visible as part of each piece’s story.

Every artisan textile is made slowly and thoughtfully, with the intention that it will be used, worn and enjoyed for many years to come.

Much of what happens in the studio is slow and repetitive in the best possible way — fibres being blended, yarn taking shape, cloth growing line by line on the loom.
